TRACKSET WORKBENCH / GUIDE

Your first track day starts in the garage.

A useful starting checklist for getting yourself and your car ready.

Read the organizer’s requirements

Start with the event’s technical inspection form, helmet requirements, noise limits and driver briefing. Requirements vary by venue, car and run group. Ask the organizer about anything unclear before registering.

Inspect the essentials

Have tires, brakes, fluid condition, leaks and wheel hardware checked against the vehicle and event requirements. Follow manufacturer specifications for torque and service. Secure the battery and remove loose items from the cabin and trunk.

Prepare the driver, too

Bring water, appropriate clothing and your required paperwork. Learn the flag rules and book instruction if offered. Make learning the circuit and building consistency the goal of the first sessions.
